Food: We ordered the Tom Yum Soup Noodle Soup (Bun Thai) and Eggplant & Minced Chicken at Saigon Pai, and both were absolutely delicious! The Tom Yum Soup was a highlight, packed with bold, authentic flavors and a perfect spicy kick. Our only feedback is that the soup could use a few more prawns to make it even better. The Eggplant & Minced Chicken was equally flavorful, with fresh ingredients and great seasoning. The portions were huge--easily enough for two people, making it ideal for sharing. Ambiance: Saigon Pai has a cozy, modern vibe with warm lighting and comfortable seating. It's a relaxed spot that's great for a casual meal or a friendly catch-up, creating a welcoming atmosphere for any occasion. Service: The service was fantastic! The staff were friendly, attentive, and ensured our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Value for Money: The value here is outstanding. With large portions, high-quality ingredients, and authentic Thai flavors, the prices are very reasonable. You're getting top-tier cuisine that's well worth the cost. Overall Experience: Saigon Pai is a true gem in Toronto's Thai food scene. Despite the minor note about wanting more prawns in the soup, the food is exceptional, the vibe is inviting, and the service is impeccable. It's a must-try for Thai food lovers looking for a memorable dining experience!
Generous portions with delicious ingredients. I had the Pho special with all the beef selections. The service from Callie was prompt and friendly which made for a great lunch time experience. Well done!
Located in the heart of Cabbage Town in downtown Toronto, Saigon Pai is a popular restaurant specializing in Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. They offer an extensive selection of dishes prepared with fresh quality ingredients and adhere to a philosophy based on the importance of presenting guests with food that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The owners of the restaurant are quite engaging. They love to listen and talk to guests about the food they enjoyed, and clearly demonstrate that they truly care about the experience their guests had at the restaurant. The restaurant itself is spacious and airy and consists of good size booths and open table seating. It is tastefully decorated with modern impressionistic and abstract artwork througout on a backdrop of earth tones that seems to deliver a calming effect in addition to creating an artsy and easy-going ambience. Overall, the restaurant is well organized and very clean. Remarkably, both Vietnamese and Thai dishes are prepared very well. The taste, texture, freshness, portion size and appearance of each food item our party selected was excellent and the cost for each item was very reasonable. We had approximately 50 to 60 people in our party and we were able to sample many of the food items prepared. I think it is safe to say that everyone was more than satisfied with the quality of food. On a final note, customer service was excellent. Staff were very accommodating, well mannered and courteous. The owners are down-to-earth, and very friendly. They understand the importance of customer satisfaction, which in the end made our visit to Saigon Pai a wonderful experience.
A definite contender for one of the best thai restaurants in Toronto. Delicious Pad Thai and Khao Soi, which came out hot, well seasoned, aromatic, and tasty with a nice bite to the noodles. Prices are extremely reasonable, and portion sizes are more than generous. 19 for the chicken pad thai, and it could easily feed 2 people alone. The khao soi is the same, and came in a tall bowl so that it stayed hot while eating it. It's an absolute gem, and you will be hard pressed to find a better deal in this city. The service is lightning fast as well, and the interior is pleasant enough. Can't wait to come back and pick through their Vietnamese menu.
I recently visited Saigon Pai, a delightful Thai and Vietnamese restaurant located near Cabbagetown, and it certainly did not disappoint! I opted for the Bun Bo Hue, a spicy rice noodle soup, and it was absolutely phenomenal. The dish was incredibly aromatic and fragrant, with the broth being the perfect blend of spices—bold, yet not overpowering. I added some crispy oyasum for that extra crunch, which elevated the texture of the dish. The service at Saigon Pai was also top-notch. The staff were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also incredibly friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're in the mood for flavorful Vietnamese or Thai dishes, I highly recommend giving this gem a visit. You won’t be disappointed!
Delicious and fresh food every time I go here. The staff are always so nice and the food arrives promptly. The Pho is great but I especially enjoy the Bun. Yum!
It was my first time here and the food was so fresh, flavourful and delicious. Our server was so kind and welcoming as well. Will definitely come back when I’m in the area.
Vietnamese restaurant dishes are delicious. The staff are enthusiastic and cheerful. The restaurant's Christmas decorations are very beautiful and warm, suitable for holding a year-end Christmas party. I will go to the restaurant to eat often. Thank you so much!
